CSS PLAY

Things i liked on CSS PLAY. A very cool website on getting ideas on layouts, and ways to display photo gallery's etc. I think they come with the CSS rules attached if you want them? I was looking in the 'demos' page...

^here as you hover over the thumbnail images a larger version is displayed to the left.
I like this simple format although I wouldn't want borders around the images.

^I like the idea of having vertical scrolling linked to the images rather than having to scroll down the web page and away from any menu bars.

^Here you hover over and click on the thumbnails to reveal and view the lower larger image.
This is properly my favourite layout of displaying images with the thumbnails above the larger image below.

^Here you hover over the menu to reveal the gallery, then hover over the thumbnails to get a zoomed view.
This layout could work well in my portfolio as I want to display works from different projects. I think it has a professional and orderly appeal
.

I'm not sure if these ideas are too advanced but if i can figure it out I'll defiantly be keen to try some of these out!
